WORLD SERIES OF BIRDING CENTURY RUN
Saturday May 12th
-
Come and join us at sunrise for a day of
birding as we explore some great places to bird in Central
New Jersey. We expect to see close to 100 different species
of birds. The World Series of Birding Plainsboro event will
begin at the Preserve and will include stops at: The
Princeton Institute Woods, Sourland Mountains, and Bulls
Island. There will be additional stops along the way as we
caravan and try to find as many species as possible. The
early bird start will commence at the Preserve at 5:00 in
the morning or feel free to catch up with us at the
Princeton Institute Woods at 6:00 to bird or 7:00 for
departure. You must pre-register for this event! Additional
instructions will be sent to participants. This is a major
fund raiser for NJAS and it is highly recommended for you to
obtain sponsorship funding to cover the minimal cost of $1
per bird to attend this event.

Several timeslots are still available for
our Nature Center Greeter and Sales positions. Our greeters
answer phones, complete store sales, answer questions of
visitors and callers. Interested volunteers should be
available either ½ day per week on weekdays or ½ day per
month on weekends. Currently Wednesdays and Sundays are in
need of additional assistance and Saturdays are Critical.

Summer is just around the corner and our
summer camps are filling up like never before in our
history. Several volunteers are needed to act as Summer Camp
Counselors for the upcoming summer camp season. Camps run
from June through August 9:00 AM-4:00 PM each day. We are
asking any interested volunteers to commit to one full week
of camp this summer. Current volunteers get first pick of
available weeks before we open remaining time slots to local
schools on June 1st.
