Rancocas Volunteers

One of the highlights of our first annual
volunteer picnic was the dedication of our Children's Garden to
John and Marilyn Courtney. John and Marilyn were honored for
their contributions to our center; both have been RNC volunteers
for over thirty years! A plaque bearing their names greets
visitors entering the garden.

Sara and Nate work together
to create a “Helping Hands” tree to recognize our RNC
volunteers.

The “heart and soul” of the
NJAS Rancocas Nature Center is its volunteers—new recruits and
old-timers. Volunteers staff our bookstore six days a week, and
assist with bird seed sale days and group programs. They also
keep the center neat and clean, maintain our trails, and make
improvements to our facilities. We welcome individuals, groups,
and Eagle Scouts. Through the years, our volunteers have been
there for us and they continue to be part of the Rancocas Nature
Center’s spirit; for this we are eternally grateful.

Thank you to Central School Environmental Club for raising money
to purchase a water monitoring kit for the Nature Center.
