New Jersey Audubon has a great need for volunteers to help us achieve our mission--Become a volunteer!
Make new friends and do your part to help make New Jersey a better place for people and wildlife. We really appreciate your support. What do you get out of volunteering? Our volunteers enjoy working with a great group of people--and there's so much you can learn by volunteering at our Sanctuaries! You may enjoy working outside on our beautiful grounds, or watching the ever-changing show at the bird feeders. Pick the brains of the experts while hauling birdseed! Browse through our libraries between stuffing envelopes. Our resources are at your disposal and are easy to access when you volunteer on a regular basis.
Some areas where volunteers are needed are:
- Store sales and reception
- Sanctuary grounds and trail maintenance
- Inventory taking
- Mailings
- Building maintenance
- Cleaning
- Computer data entry and computer hardware and software maintenance
- Nature walk leaders
- Special projects (skills will vary with the specific project)
- Staffing exhibit booths at fairs and special functions
- General clerical -- filing, typing, etc.
Your special skill might be just what we need! Please help us achieve our mission. Together we can work to keep New Jersey Green!

The amount of time you devote is up to you - we can really use your help at our headquarters offices, whether it’s for one day, or a year. The volume of work we do sometimes arrives in “waves” but we will keep your application on file and do our best to match your interests and talents with the job at hand.
Please let us know whether there is something specifically you would like to do for us… what is your background, etc? We want to make the best use of your talents!
