Things You Need to Know
About Meals, Lodging, and Transportation

All meals, lodging and transportation for Cape May School of Birding Workshops are the responsibility of workshop participants and are not included in the workshop price. Ask for a copy of our “Places to Eat, Shop, Stay and Play” brochure when you sign up, or view it online.  The businesses listed are supporters of CMBO.

Because of our early morning starts, we recommend you arrive the night before your workshop if coming from out of town.

If You Need Binoculars or a Spotting Scope, or Need an Upgrade

CMBO carries a large and carefully selected inventory of quality birding optics at very competitive prices. If you plan to buy or upgrade, consider arriving the day before your workshop to test and select the equipment that is right for you. Please do not just rush out and buy something for the workshop – birding optics deserve careful selection and advice from experts.

Loaner Binoculars are Available!

We have a selection of fine binoculars available to workshop participants. Please let us know if you need a pair when you register.

Cancellation Policy

Cape May School of Birding Workshops require a minimum number of registrants to run, but are virtually never cancelled. If we do cancel, all participants will be notified in advance and are eligible for a full credit or refund.

Participants may cancel without penalty if greater than 30 days in advance. Cancellations 10 to 30 days in advance may be subject to a 25% service charge. Sorry, no refund or credit for cancellations less than ten days in advance unless due to health emergencies.

We reserve the right to substitute leaders if necessary, though this rarely happens.
