CAPE MAY FAMILY BIRDING CRUISE
10:00 a.m. to noon
Daily June 1 to September 30
Take an up close look at osprey, egrets and bald eagles along with many other birds of the coastal salt marsh. See osprey chicks being fed and learning to fly and fish. Visit colonies of nesting gulls and terns. Get a close look at the crabs, fish and sea life that make up this fragile eco-system. This is a great trip to introduce kids to birding, and an excellent opportunity for kids interested in photography to get some great shots.

The OSPREY departs from the Miss Chris Marina in Cape May on Wilson Drive, across from the big Lobster House sign. We have plenty of binoculars onboard for everyone to use, and an open front deck for better viewing and photography.

SUNSET SAFARI ON THE OSPREY

Explore undiscovered Cape May as we sail into the scenic and historic harbor of one of the nation's oldest seaports.  Explore quaint boathouses, the commercial fishing fleet and Sewell Point, now home to the US Coast Guard base.  then we head out inot the coastal salt marsh behind Cold Spring Inlet for a unique evening view of this natural wonderland with its abundant wildlife including osprey, egrets and bald eagles.  Enjoy a beautiful sunset over the harbor as we return.

WHALE AND DOLPHIN WATCHING EXCURSIONS ABOARD THE CAPE MAY WHALE WATCHER
10am to noon -- 1:00pm to 4:00pm  --  6:30pm to 8:30pm
Daily - May through October

Have your family join the Stewart family on a 2 or 3 hour whale and dolphin watch aboard New Jersey's largest and fastest whale watchers.  The 110 ft Cape May Whale Watcher seats 300 passengers, and the 110 ft. Spirit of Cape May seats 400.  Cabins are air conditioned and heated.  Both boats have full bars serving both hot and cold foods for purchase, spacious and comfortable restrooms, and are also pet friendly.  The Cape May Whale Watcher has the only handicapped accessible vessels, and hosts the most experienced captains/naturalists on board in all of southern New Jersey.

The 10am and 6:30pm cruises are each two hours long, and are fully narrated about the history and architecture of Cape May.  They provide complimentary danish and coffee on the morning trip, and pizza and hot dogs on the evening trip.  You will see dolphins in their natural habitat as they swim and play alongside the boat.  Naturalists will educate you about the life of these fascinating marine mammals.  

The 1pm cruise is a three hour whale and dolphin watch, with the primary focus of searching for humpback and finback whales.  You will also havae time to learn about dolphins on this trip.

Cost: Morning and evening trips:  $30 adults, $20 kids 7-12 years; age 6 and under are free
Afternoon 3-hour trip is $40 adults; $25 kids 7-12 years; age 6 and under are free.

Welcome aboard the Jersey Cape’s original wildlife tour boat, the forty-foot Skimmer, and explore Cape May’s beautiful coastal wetlands and wildlife with experienced naturalists. Fun and educational for all ages!

**Boat leaves from Cape May Inlet Marina, across from the Two Mile Beach Unit of the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge on Ocean Drive between Cape May and Wildwood Crest.
PLEASE NOTE:  Boat trips on Tuesday evening, all Wednesday trips, and Thursday morning & afternoon trips all depart from and return to the Wetlands Institute on Stone Harbor Blvd, in Stone Harbor.

CRABBING 101*
Tuesdays and Fridays, June 28 through August 26

Delicious and beautiful, blue crabs are abundant in saltwater bays and creeks. Come aboard the original Skimmer, a comfortable forty-foot, flat-bottomed tour boat for a hands-on crabbing experience and demonstration. You can keep any legal size crab you catch! All equipment and materials are supplied.

FAMILY FISHING TRIPS

A special Family Fishing Trip...bring the whole family! Join us on the Cape May Lady for a four-hour fishing trip. Sailing from South Jersey Marina; the trip includes your fishing rods, tackle and bait to bring home the big one!
