Rancocas Nature Center

The Rancocas Nature Center offers year-round environmental education programs for schools, libraries, birthday parties, scouts, and seniors. On-site programs incorporate the many resources found at the Center, but off-site environmental education can also be scheduled at your facility. Environmental Education presentations for adult organizations can be customized to suit your needs.

Programs are held rain or shine. In the event of heavy rains or thunderstorms a suitable indoor program will be presented (classes larger than 30 students are rescheduled). Cancellations due to severe inclement weather will be rescheduled, if possible. Programs cancelled less than one week before their scheduled time may be billed a minimum fee. To schedule a program and discuss current fees, call (609) 261-2495 and ask to speak to an NJAS staff person.

School Programs

Let us help you fulfill curricula standards for environmental education. Naturalists can provide age appropriate themed programs of activities for your class year round. Many of our nature topics are adaptible to differing grades and differing locations (indoors and out-of-doors) at our center or at your school. Teachers, leaders, or chaperones are responsible for supervision and disclipline during programs.

All Ages

Let a New Jersey Audubon Society naturalist customize a program for your organization (library, garden club, nature club, senior center, or other). Programs range from short presentations to workshops or nature field trips. Topics for programs range from Backyard habitat for birds to Beginning bird watching and from Tree identification to Rancocas watershed or Inner Coastal Plains. Birthday Parties

Let us help you plan an unforgettable birthday for your son or daughter. Invite children to a wildlife adventure in our natural history museum and on our trails. An experienced naturalist can provide nature activities for the children indoors and/or out of doors. With live animals to see, interesting things to touch and feel, as well as wide open spaces this can be a birthday adventure. Click here for a printable brochure describing birthday options.

Scout Programs

Rancocas Nature Center offers a variety of programs to help every level of scouts climb the ranks and earn badges. Bring the troop along for unique activities and exciting hikes on our scenic trails. Eagle Scouts have completed a wide range of projects at the Center.
