Programs at Rancocas Nature Center

Planning a Visit
Programs are 2 hours long and cost $80.00 for
up to ten scouts, and $8 for each additional scout. Adults are free.
To schedule a program, please contact our
Education staff at 609-261-2495, Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 am
to 4:00 pm. To facilitate scheduling, please call with several
possible program dates and times in mind.
Supervision and discipline of participants is
the responsibility of the chaperones at all times, especially
during meals, between classes, and bathroom visits, as Rancocas
Nature Center Education Staff are there for the purpose of
teaching. Our programs run rain or shine, so please dress
appropriately.

FOR THE BIRDS:
Through games and activities, participants will discover
adaptations and behavioral differences among various birds.
DISCOVERED:
INSECTS! While on our trails, participants will learn insect
importance, structure, and identification. Which insects are
beneficial and which are pests?
SENSATIONAL
SENSES: Participants will use their five senses to discover
the natural world and learn how wildlife survive in their
environments using their animals senses.
TREE TREASURES:
Participants will sharpen their observation skills
identifying tree species in Rancocas State Park and learning the
structure and function of tree parts,
WATER WE WADING
IN? Participants will observe and conduct experiments in the
Rancocas Creek watershed, identifying pollutants and discovering
who lives in this wet habitat.

Naturalist led interpretive hikes, 2 hours. Call (609) 261-2495
to schedule the day and time.
Adopt A Garden: Space available for Garden Badges for those
without a home garden plot.
