A FORK-TAILED FLYCATCHER was seen briefly in Cape May Oct 25-26; see the CMBO blog for details:
Sunrise Mountain saw GOLDEN EAGLES pass by Oct 25. Also in Sussex County at Kittatinny Valley State Park were 3 VESPER SPARROWS.

Hudson County sightings this week were of a drake EURASIAN WIGEON at the Bayonne Golf Club, two SHORT-EARED OWLS and 3 VESPER SPARROWS at Ocean Terminal, and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER at Mill Creek Marsh.
A LARK SPARROW was discovered near the carillon at DeKorte Environment Center in Lyndhurst Oct 30.
Three SANDHILL CRANES flew over Brookdale Park in Essex County Oct 28.
A WESTERN KINGBIRD was photographed at Lord Stirling Park Oct 25 and represents the first record for Somerset County. Three VESPER SPARROWS were tallied at Great Swamp NWR that day.
Glenhurst Meadows had 2-3 ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS and 2 VESPER SPARROWS this week. Chimney Rock Hawk Watch sightings included GOLDEN EAGLE and RED-HEADED WOODPECKER. Reports from Sandy Hook this week included COMMON EIDER, AMERICAN BITTERN, 2 AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS, a late PIPING PLOVER Oct 25, PARASITIC JAEGER, VESPER SPARROW, LARK SPARROW, GRASSHOPPER SPARROW, a LE CONTE???S SPARROW near Battery Mills Oct 28, DICKCISSEL, 2 LAPLAND LONGSPURS, and 50 PINE SISKINS.
Ocean County birds this week included an AMERICAN AVOCET at the Barnegat Division of Forsythe NWR (off Bayshore Drive), 4 MARBLED GODWITS at Island Beach State Park, and a VESPER SPARROW at Great Bay Blvd WMA.
Forsythe (Brigantine) NWR had TUNDRA SWAN, 3 REDHEADS, AMERICAN BITTERN, VESPER SPARROW, and CLAY-COLORED SPARROW.
In Burlington County 11 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS and 22 PURPLE FINCHES were noted at Taylor???s Refuge and nearby Palmyra Cove Nature Park had BONAPARTE???S GULL, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER, VESPER SPARROW, and RUSTY BLACKBIRD.
An AMERICAN AVOCET was noted at Stow Neck Rd in Salem County Oct 26.
