We have the following requests to report sightings from the Park
Superintendent at Island Beach, Cynthia Coritz: it would be great if
birders would report their sightings at the Aeolium Nature Center
(stafffed daily) or Forked River Interpretive Center (staffed
Fri-Sun) within Island Beach State Park. At Barnegat Light State
Park, there is a box outside the bath-house across from the Maritime
Forest Trail with report sheets for sightings. Also, the park
supplies Ocean County bird checklists until the new checklist, Birds
of Barnegat Lighthouse SP is available.
The Voice of NJ Audubon is a weekly report on birding in New Jersey.
