The VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW and the 4 CAVE SWALLOWS continue daily at the Cape May Meadows and the Bunker Pond in Cape May Point State Park. Check the Meadows in the morning, and the hawkwatch platform between 1 and 2 PM, when the swallows drink at Bunker Pond and hunt for insects along the dunes. Close naked-eye looks at the birds were had on Monday Nov. 9. An ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was also seen by several observers at Bunker Pond on Monday, Nov. 9. The BEWICK'S WREN reported at Hidden Valley was not found again. The very rare dark morph ROSS'S GOOSE found last week at Brigantine NWR was rediscovered late Monday Nov. 9 and observed for 45 minutes. EURASIAN WIGEON and LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL are also present at Brig. A EURASIAN WIGEON is also at Marconi Rd., Shark River. GOLDEN EAGLE, GOSHAWK, and RAVEN were all on Raccoon Ridge Nov. 7. Five BALD EAGLES were over Cape May Nov. 9, and another was at milepost 34 on the Garden State Parkway the same day. HARLEQUINS are at Second Ave. jetty in Cape May; and also at Sandy Hook, where an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was found on Plum Island Nov. 8.
