A PINK-FOOTED GOOSE was discovered in Wall Twp, Monmouth County Dec 7 and continues through Dec 11. Look for the bird in the CANADA GOOSE flocks roaming the fields along Allaire Rd west of the intersection with Bailey's Corner Rd or on Bailey's Corner Rd; if not there it may also be worth checking fields around the Wall Twp municipal complex or at the recreation site just north along 18th Ave. A ROSS'S GOOSE was also present Dec 7; this is presumably the same individual seen at the west end of Wreck Pond in Spring Lake Heights over the weekend.

The EARED GREBE continues at Sandy Hook in Horseshoe Cove through Dec 5. The juvenile HUDSONIAN GODWIT was still present at lower tides feeding on the Horseshoe Cove sandbar through Dec 7.

The three TRUMPETER SWANS continue at the east end of Lake Assunpink this week. A COMMON REDPOLL was also reported there. [Hunting is likely at Assunpink; please dress appropriately. -transcriber]

A drake EURASIAN WIGEON was found in Shark River Estuary Dec 6-7; seen at the north end in Musquash Cove near East End Ave.

Sussex County reports included a RED-NECKED GREBE and CACKLING GOOSE at Culvers Lake Dec 7 and a Sandhill Crane along Rt. 519 north of Newtonn just north of the Paulinskill River Dec 6.

An extremely late GRAY-CHEEKED/BICKNELL'S THRUSH was photographed in Blairstown Dec 7.

Two ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were found around the Bayonne Golf Club/Ocean Terminal this week.

A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was seen at Cushetunk Lake in Hunterdon County Dec 6. Also in the county was a pair of EVENING GROSBEAKS at Capoolong Creek WMA Dec 10.

Eight SANDHILL CRANES continue to visit the cornfields around Randolph Rd in Franklin Twp, Somerset County this week. A GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE was seen at Duke Island Park Dec 7.

The SEDGE WREN continues at Franklin Parker Preserve near Chatsworth through Dec 7; also there was a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK. Other Burlington County sightings included 2 AMERICAN BITTERNS and 3 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS at Taylor's Refuge and a very late CAPE MAY WARBLER at a feeder in Moorestown Dec 7.

A EURASIAN WIGEON was seen at Forsythe (Brigantine) NWR Dec 6.
