Voice of New Jersey Audubon - 12/29/1994
This is the voice of NJ Audubon for Friday, Dec. 29, 1994 at 11 am with reports of SNOWY OWL, SANDHILL CRANE, COMMON GOLDENEYE, BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, HARLEQUIN, REDHEAD, RAZORBILLS, PEREGRINE FALCON, EURASIAN WIGEON and the Moorestown Christmas Count.

On Dec. 23, a SANDHILL CRANE was reported on Compromise Road in Salem County 1/4 mile from the Stone Arch.

On Dec. 23, there was 1 WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE with CANADA GEESE and about 40 SNOW GEESE in Colonia Park. An OREGON JUNCO was seen on December 25 at the feeders in the Great Swamp. Four RAZORBILLS were at Manasquan Inlet on Dec. 26. Lake Como had 36 HOODED MERGANSERS on Dec. 26.

An immature BALD EAGLE was at Oradell Reservoir Dec. 27. A REDHEAD was on DeMotts Pond. A EURASIAN WIGEON was on the shore of Silver Lake Dec. 29. On Dec. 29, a SNOWY OWL was on Deerhaven Road in Bedminster. The KING EIDER continues near the bunker in Cape May.

The Moorestown Christmas Count on Dec. 26 has 94 species including 1 BARROW'S GOLDENEYE with 10 COMMON GOLDENEYE in the Delaware River 100 yards north of N. Randolph St., Cinnaminson. Other goodies for the count included RED-THROATED LOON, BALD EAGLE, N. GOSHAWK, PALM and PINE WARBLER and DICKCISSEL.
