This is the Voice of NJ Audubon for Feb 3 with reports of Review List BARROW'S GOLDENEYE, and other reports of HARLEQUIN, ICELAND and GLAUCOUS GULLS, BALD EAGLE, REDHEADS, local reports, an extra-limital YELLOW-BILLED LOON, and an upcoming pelagic from Cape May Feb 21.

The YELLOW-BILLED LOON is at Hinckley, NY above Utica. Take the Thruway to Exit 31, then Rte 12 to Rte 365. Take 365 east about 4.5 miles to Hinckley Reservoir-the lake before it has the bird.

The Sandy Hook BARROW'S GOLDENEYE continues in Horseshoe Cove--park in area L, walk across the road, and scope the cove for the goldeneye flock. The Park Service has asked us not to walk down the road through the Holy Forest.

Eight HARLEQUIN and an ICELAND GULL were at the end of the Barnegat Jetty Jan 29. A ROUGH-LEG was at Manahawkin Jan 30. Nine REDHEADS were on Old Sam's Pond Jan 30; some days they are on Little Silver Pond just north of Sam's in Point Pleasant. At least two ICELAND GULLS have been regular at Manasquan Inlet.

In Salem County this week, a LEAST SANDPIPER and a LESSER YELLOWLEGS were at the pond on Stow Neck Road in Madhorse WMA, and 700 CANVASBACK were at the Nuke Plant. A trip to Florence this week netted 12 ICELAND, 2 GLAUCOUS, and 12 LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS.

At Merrill Creek Reservoir Jan 30, BALD EAGLE, 3 REDHEADS, HORNED GREBE and lots of waterfowl were present. At Alpha, LAPLAND LONGSPUR continues among the hundreds of HORNED LARKS.
