This is the Voice of NJ Audubon for Fri Mar 3 with reports of Review List BARROW'S GOLDENEYE and TUFTED DUCK and other reports of GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, GLAUCOUS, ICELAND and LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS, EURASIAN WIGEON, REDHEADS, HARLEQUIN, RED-HEADED WOODPECKER, waterfowl reports, and local reports.

A male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was on Yards Creek Res. in Blairstown off Rte. 94 on Feb. 28, a date when it was not seen at Merrill Creek.

A female BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was at Sandy Hook in Horseshoe Cove Feb 26, but the male was not seen that day.

A female TUFTED DUCK was seen Mar 2 at Old Sam's Pond in Point Pleasant with Scaup.

Another male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen Mar 2 at Merrill Creek. Also at Merrill Creek this week were TUNDRA SWAN, WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE, 10 REDHEADS, several hundred RING-NECKED DUCKS, a hundred PINTAILS Feb 28 and lots of other ducks. At nearby Harmony Station Road off 519, some 5,000 SNOW GEESE and 100 TUNDRA SWANS were in the fields Feb 28.

A GLAUCOUS and two LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULLS were on Spruce Run Res. Mar 2.

ICELAND GULLS were at Sandy Hook Feb 26 and Shark River Feb 26. A male EURASIAN WIGEON was in North Long Branch Feb 28; take Atlantic Ave west from Ocean Ave to a grassy area on the right before the bridge over the creek.

Seven REDHEADS were at Lakes Bay, Pleasantville this week. A GLAUCOUS GULL was seen in Veterans Park, Hamilton Twp.

RED-HEADED WOODPECKER and RED-SHOULDERED HAWK continue in Great Swamp on Pleasant Plains Road; WOOD DUCKS, PINTAILS and some GREAT BLUE HERONS have returned there.

Some 20 HORNED LARKS were at Liberty State Park Feb 27 along with FOX SPARROW. The large flocks of RUDDIES and SCAUP were still there. Mercer County Park Feb 27 had hundreds of COMMON MERGANSERS, which wre widely reported this week along with RINGNECKS. Assunpink had a good variety of waterfowl.
