Voice of New Jersey Audubon - 5/31/1995
This is the voice of NJ Audubon for Wednesday, May 31, 1995, at 11:30 AM with reports of a pelagic trip May 27 to Hudson Canyon, and MISSISSIPPI KITE, OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, DICKCISSEL, LINCOLN'S SPARROW, ALDER FLYCATCHER, MOURNING WARBLER, and other seasonal reports.

The pelagic trip to Hudson Canyon May 27 had 30 NORTHERN FULMAR, CORY'S SHEARWATER, SOOTY SHEARWATER, GREATER SHEARWATER, & MANX SHEARWATER, WILSON'S STORM PETREL & LEACH'S STORM PETREL, ARCTIC TERN, PUFFIN, RAZORBILL, POMARINE JAEGER, & SOUTH POLAR SKUA.

MISSISSIPPI KITES were seen at Higbee Beach on May 30, and also at Thompson Park, Lincroft, Monmouth Co., May 25. An OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER was at Higbee on May 30. A DICKCISSEL at Moorestown May 26 was not seen thereafter. A LINCOLN'S SPARROW was at Berry's Creek in Hackensack Meadows on May 30.

ALDER FLYCATCHERS were reported this week from Old Mine Road below Dingmans, also from Deckertown Pike, from Garret Mountain, from Unionville, and from Logan's Slope in Little Ferry.

MOURNING WARBLERS were at Palmyra May 27 and at Garrett Mountain 8 straight days through May 26. A BALD EAGLE was at Palmyra May 28.
