Two different pairs of probably breeding SAPSUCKERS were seen on Sawmill Road May 26 through Stokes SF and HIgh Point SP several miles apart, one of those at the Catswamp hemlock grove. In both instances, the birds were noisy and did their distinctive tapping. Also on Sawmill Road May 26 were MOURNING WARBLER and OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER.

OLIVE-SIDED and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS were at Garret Mt May 24, with 17 WARBLER species. MOURNING WARBLER was at Scherman Hoffman May 26 near the building in the brambles below, along with WILSON'S WARBLER, and a LINCOLN'S SPARROW was under the hedge at the feeder May 26 also, viewed from inside the store.

Sandy Hook May 26 yielded 11 WARBLERS, GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER in the Brookdale area, YELLOW-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON in the salt marsh at the little bridge across the road from the campground, and LEAST BITTERN at North Pond.

CLIFF SWALLOWS are breeding on the tower outlet at Merrill Creek Reservoir along with BARN SWALLOWS and ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS. YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was among other WARBLERS at Mercer Co.
