A WHITE-FACED IBIS was found at Manahawkin WMA along Stafford Ave May 6-8. A BLACK-NECKED STILT continued in the impoundments there through May 5.

Another WHITE-FACED IBIS was found at Allaire State Park (no specific location mentioned) May 6.

A BAR-TAILED GODWIT was discovered at Forsythe (Brigantine) NWR May 4-5, seen along the south dike. Also at "Brig" this week was a female RED PHALAROPE May 8-9 along the south dike, a MARBLED GODWIT along the north dike May 9, 100 WHIMBRELS, 4 GULL-BILLED TERNS, 3 CASPIAN TERNS, and 4 CHUCK-WILLS-WIDOWS.

A LONG-BILLED CURLEW was a surprise fly-by in Linden, Union County May 7.

Sussex County reports this week included LEAST BITTERN, SORA, and COMMON GALLINULE at Lewisburg Swamp and a female GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER at Whittingham WMA May 6.

Old Mine Road/Delaware Water Gap NRA May 6 hosted 30 CERULEAN WARBLERS, 10 WORM-EATING WARBLERS, 10 LOUISIANA WATERTHRUSHES, 2 BLACKBURNIAN WARBLERS, and many HOODED WARBLERS.

Two BLACK TERNS and 15 species of warbler were found at Spruce Run Reservoir May 9.

Another BLACK TERN was discovered at Liberty State Park May 8 along with 2 truant LONG-TAILED DUCKS and a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER.

A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was detected at Flat Rock Brook in Englewood May 9.

Two SORAS were noted at the overlook along Pleasant Plains Rd in Great Swamp NWR May 3.

The Negri-Nepote Grasslands hosted 73 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 7 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS, and a BLUE GROSBEAK May 8. More information about birding this site can be found at the NJ Audubon eBird portal: http://ebird.org/content/nj/news/birding-the-negri-nepote-grassland-preserve

A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was found near the air navigation structure fields off East Branch Rd at Assunpink WMA May 7.

Hawkin Road near Red Lion in Burlington County had PROTHONOTARY WARBLER and HOODED WARBLER this week.

Glassboro Woods WMA May 6 had 4 ACADIAN FLYCATCHERS, 6 HOODED WARBLERS, and 7 WORM-EATING WARBLERS.
