Voice of New Jersey Audubon - 7/26/2000
This is the Voice of NJ Audubon for July 26 with reports of BROWN PELICAN, early migrants, out-of-season reports and local reports of interest.

Up to 75 BROWN PELICANS were at Barnegat Light off High Bar this week.

Some interesting out-of-season and out-of-place reports this week included a BRANT at the Englewood Boat Basin on July 18; a BOB-WHITE on William Street in New Milford on July 21; and a WHITE-THROATED SPARROW at 3rd St, Barnegat Light, present for a week already!

Recent reports from the Hackensack Meadowlands included a migrant BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, summering SKIMMER and the usual herons.

Migrants reported this week included SOLITARY SANDPIPER, PURPLE MARTIN; BANK SWALLOWS, TREE SWALLOWS, BARN SWALLOWS and ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOWS; the first RING-BILLED GULLS; BOBOLINK and ORCHARD ORIOLE.
